Your Account
Here you find everything which is important to be known regarding your User Account!
- A very important principle for us is: we collect only the absolutely necessary information to create an account for you!
- We never share any of the account information with anyone else.
- Data we collect into your account is the following:
- You need to provide your e-mail address
Which is also your user name so you use this to log in to the service and identify yourself.
Your email address is not visible publicly and also not visible for other registered normal users. The only exceptions are the following:- If you are granted permission to view analytics data of a specific data container then the admin users of that container will see your e-mail address (in order to be able to send you notifications or just simply align with you)
- Global administrators of the Keytiles system will have access to your e-mail address
- You need to provide a "nickname" - but of course it is up to you if you provide your real name here or really just a nick. The nickname is
- Not visible publicly
- But visible for any other registered Keytiles users.
- Keytiles system is using this in sent out emails to you - as a salutation in the email.
- Your userId
The system generates a random unique identifier for your user account as internally this is used to connect your user account with other technical objects (e.g. an analytics data container you are member of)
- You need to provide your e-mail address
- You can permanently delete your user account any point in time. If you do this then this is a real deletion of any data (was) related to your account. It is not backed up, it is not "just flagged deleted" - it is really deleted!
Of course from this moment you can not use the service any longer.
Your IP Address
If you are using the service then due to technical reasons the servers of Keytiles will have access to your IP Address. And regarding your IP address the following rules are applied:
- We do anonymize your IP Address at the very first moment we get access to that.
We do it the same way as Google does. - We do not store even your anonymized IP Address in any databases
It is never associated in a stored format with your account. - But your anonymized IP address might be stored temporarily in our service log files.
What does it mean? To put it simple - this is like a surveillance camera system. Unfortunately not everyone is using services nice way... There are bad guys out there too. And we must be able to spot and identify them in order to protect not just the service we provide but also your data! We are following here regular practices, namely:- Log files are kept for 30 days
- Log files are only used in case of an incident.
Limitations of Liability
Keytiles will not be liable to you or any third party for any indirect, special, punitive, consequential (including, without limitation, lost profits or lost data collected through the service), or incidental damages, whether based on a claim or action of contract, warranty, negligence, strict liability, or other tort, breach of any statutory duty, indemnity or contribution, or otherwise, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. the exclusion contained in this paragraph shall apply regardless of the failure of the exclusive remedy provided in the following paragraph.
The company's cumulative liability to you or any other party for any loss or damages resulting from any claims, demands, or actions arising out of or relating to this agreement or your usage of the service shall not exceed the aggregate fees paid by you to us for use of the service.
